Our lives are to be lived to the honor of Christ and our work is to be done for the glory of Christ. When we are living for Jesus and laboring for Jesus others will be encouraged by our lives. Paul exhorted the Philippians to conduct themselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ so that if he comes he can see their godly lives or if he’s absent he can hear about their godly lives.
